Description
The “Law & Religions” class presents an exhaustive overview on the typical interactions between law and religion considering the legal institutes affected by a confessional-religious heritage.
It implies to consider many relevant aspects: the importance of the organized profile of worldwide religions in influencing the global governance; the comparative law perspective in the European Union and in the international community, even analyzing peculiar issues such as migrations and terrorism; the relevance of religions in shaping family law and bioethics in an era constantly pushing forwards acquired borders.
The cycle of lessons will host many seminars involving professional legal orders, international experts, columnists, scholars and writers.

Aim of the classes
A scholar adequately keen on law & religions should ripen an intercultural methodology to face some of the most problematic legal issues of our times: a satisfying knowledge about the European normative institutional system; an attitude to prevent and solve cultural and social conflicts; an highly experienced technical approach in tackling jurisdictional and not jurisdictional controversies concerning (but not limited to) politics and power, comparative private law, the newest civil rights, the crucial importance of the defense of religious freedom.
